Overview
We offer the following classes to our students, many of which are taught using OpenStax’s textbook series:
- Math: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra I & II (Accelerated), Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I
- Science: 7th Grade Science, 8th Grade Science, Biology, Advanced Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science
- Social Studies: 7th Grade History, 8th Grade History, Afghanistan History, World History I, World History II, Philosophy & Leadership, Economics
- English: Beginner English, Upper Beginner English, Intermediate English, Upper Intermediate English, Advanced English, Poetry, Literature, Introduction to Writing, Essay Writing
To earn a Pax Populi Academy diploma, high school students must complete at least 40 credits. (Students who completed some high school before the ban on girls’ education receive 10 credits for each year completed.)
Students must also complete the following classes before graduating:
- 4 years of English, through at least Advanced English
- Introduction to Writing and Essay Writing
- 4 years of Math, through at least Algebra II (Pre-Calculus for college-bound students)
- Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science
- World History I & II, Afghanistan History, and an elective in Economics or Philosophy & Leadership

Hands-on Learning
We use a range of tools to provide our students with interactive learning opportunities despite the online environment. For example, in computer science, our students complete group projects through Code.org (see one of them featured on the left) and in science, students complete labs through programs like LabXchange and ChemCollective.
