The mission of Pax Populi is to put the tools of peacebuilding into the hands of ordinary people through education and economic development within a framework of human rights and moved by a spirit of love and respect for all people and the world in which we live.
We believe that knowledge, kindness, love, and justice are stronger than ignorance, violence, hatred, and tyranny, but without action, these ideas would be no more than a platitude. The primary way we carry out our mission is through our full-time underground school for the young women and girls in Afghanistan who have been denied the right to attend school beyond sixth grade.
