Robert E. McNulty, PhD
Executive Director
Robert E. McNulty, PhD is the founder and executive director of the nonprofit organization Applied Ethics, Inc. and its people-to-people peacebuilding program, Pax Populi has focused on peace through education via its online school, Pax Populi Academy. Following an early career in international consulting, Robert transitioned into academia after completing his PhD in Philosophy and Education with a focus on ethics. As executive director at Pax Populi Academy, Robert has many roles, including teaching philosophy, fundraising, and advocating for higher education opportunities for our students.

Lara Chuppe
Associate Director
Lara Chuppe holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Purdue University. She currently is a student at the University of Virginia School of Law. As associate director at Pax Populi Academy, she coordinates volunteers, oversees the admissions process, plans and teaches curriculum for STEM classes, administers technology programs, and supports students in their studies at Pax Populi.

Ms. D
School Coordinator
Fluent in both Dari and English, Ms. D is a crucial member of our team. She oversees day-to-day operations of the school including scheduling, attendance, and helping students with technology issues. She also mentors new students to make sure they adjust to studying online, and she guides students in balancing their studies when they face personal challenges. She is a role model to the girls in our school looking for a way forward under the education ban.
