Hello Everyone !

I am Nahid Walizadda. Today, I am standing for a mission to get basic human rights: The right to go to school, the right to get an education which every child deserves, the rights for every girl, every child of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria, the human rights every child should have. I have a dream to see all children educated and a world that is happy and peaceful. A majority of girls are deprived of education. They are allowed to study only up to primary school level. This forces me to stand up and ask for their rights. No world leaders would want their children to be deprived of education. Why do they then ignore the children of the rest of the people? I am hopeful our leaders will look for the bright future for every child. They must invest in education and peace. The gun will never bring peace. Education can help us end violence, inequality and child marriages. Today, I stand for the rights of girls who need education. The sound of cries of the girls who were raped by the Taliban at a Kunduz hostel still rings in our ears. Many girls face such risks. Will you stand with all of us who hope for a better future, who hope for the education of each girl? Will you stand with us? I hope change will come but change does not come by itself. All of us have to walk together and bring that change. So let’s be that change and make sure this world gives the human rights to every child. I want education to be the top priority.

Thanks,

Nahid Walizadda
