Offical Peace Day Poster

Calling all budding Peacemakers International Peace Day 2013 will soon be upon us and the organisation Pax Populi are seeking people to take part in the “Voices for Peace” Project to celebrate Peace Day. If you ever wanted to express your peace voice then now is your opportunity!

International Peace Day is about supporting and acknowledging the efforts of those working to bring peace to our world. This work is indeed challenging and it is for this reason we take a day to show our support.

Pax Populi believes that it is the Afghans themselves who will bring peace to their own country and we want to encourage the Afghan peacemakers and all Afghans to create a new and promising future for themselves. On Peace Day, therefore, we want to honor the work of Afghans who are making a difference in their country and contributing to peace. We want others around the world to look beyond the media coverage of violence and see progress being made through hard work and courage. We want to show peace workers that there is a unified community that supports their peace efforts and to encourage them to stay strong even in the most challenging of days.

What can you do?

Your Peace Day mission if you choose to accept it!

  1. Become a Voice for Peace and help create a worldwide community of support.

Sajid PeaceThis Involves sending in your picture together with a short statement about why peace is important and what we can do to help create a more peaceful society. This information will then be used to create a series of posters to feature on the Pax Populi website and social media. The aim of this is to build an international community of support for Peace Day while also inspiring others to think about what they can do to build peace in their community and around the world.
